Today (07/23), Carl Ingwell and I birded the Deseret Ranch crossroads, Woodruff, SR-39, and the Monte Cristo area.
Highlights were as follows:
Deseret Ranch
8 Wilson's Phalarope
3 Willet
20 White-faced Ibis
2 Sage Thrasher
10 Brewer's Sparrow
15 Vesper Sparrow
7 Savannah Sparrow
1 Lark Sparrow
1 Ruddy Duck
10 American Wigeon

In Woodruff we had a mostly luecistic Eurasian Collared-Dove.
Just outside of Woodruff along SR-39 2 Greater Sage-Grouse crossed the road.
At Curtis Creek Road at MM 48.9 we observed about 5 or 6 PURPLE MARTIN, a lifer for Carl.
Also in this area and at Monte Cristo Campground and further west along SR-39 were some of the following:
2 WILLIAMSON'S SAPSUCKER
1 Hairy Woodpecker
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler
1 Yellow Warbler
3 Western Tanager
9 Warbling Vireo (pair on nest)
~ Chipping Sparrow
~ Dark-eyed Junco
~ House Wren
~ Tree Swallow
~ Violet-green Swallow
2 Mountain Bluebird
And in Morgan County along I-84 was a lone American Crow.
Pictures to come later tonight!
Good Birding
