[Birdtalk] RFI- Salt Lake City area

Greetings.  My family will be visiting Salt Lake City next week from Ohio.  Could anyone lend advice on reliable, accessible birding spots nearby?  We'll be staying near Cottonwood Canyon, and Jeff Bilsky's post from 7/10 really got me excited.  I've seen virtually no birds endemic to the West, so any advice would be appreciated.  Feel free to respond off-list.  Thanks in advance.
