[Birdtalk] Purple Martin Observation from Days Gone By

I'm inordinately fond of tripping over interesting Utah bird observations 
written in the charming style of days gone past. Here's an anecdote about a 
gi-normous flock of Purple Martins over Utah Lake, Utah County in August 
1945 from The Condor:

Too bad ol' Angus didn't have Bridget Olson from Bear River MBR with him. 
Bridget would have glanced at the flock, quickly given her estimate, and 
would have been accurate to within three birds.
