Tried for Black Swifts today at Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. No Black Swifts, but violet-green Swallows and White-Throated Swifts were there. It will take someone with better eyes than me to see the Black Swifts at the distance and speed the birds were flying. Also visited Heber Valley and the Jordanell Mitigation Area. Nothing really unusual, but saw several species in large numbers; Sandhill Crane - 11 (no "colts" seen, may have been in the tall grass); Turkey Vulture - 18, Catbird - 13, and Common Yellowthroat 10. Here's the list, with 43 species seen.
