[Birdtalk] Birding Jefferson Hunt Campground

Wasatch Audubon visited Jefferson Hunt Campground in Ogden Valley, Weber 
County, this morning. Birding was good with lots of parent/baby bird 
activity and species diversity. Here's what we saw or heard:

Canada Goose
Western Grebe
Clark's Grebe
Turkey Vulture
American Kestrel
Sora
Killdeer
Wilson's Snipe
Mourning Dove
California Gull
Black-chinned Hummingbird (female flycatching; later, Carolyn Somer spied 
her on her nest high in a willow)
Belted Kingfisher
Red-naped Sapsucker
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Western Wood-pewee (and another nest with two mostly naked baby heads with 
huge yellow gapes straining to be the tallest)
Warbling Vireo
Black-billed Magpie
Tree Swallow
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Barn Swallow
Black-capped Chickadee
House Wren
American Robin
Gray Catbird
European Starling
Cedar Waxwing
Yellow Warbler
Song Sparrow
Black-headed Grosbeak
Lazuli Bunting
Red-winged Blackbird
Brown-headed Cowbird
Bullock's Oriole

Jefferson Hunt Campground is located along SR-39 in Huntsville at 
approximately milepost 18.
