[Birdtalk] Black Terns

While birding the Bear River wet lands north of Randolph UT I located a colony of black terns at the Crawford Mt Rd bridge that crosses the bear river. I spent over an hour watching them and they were not present at the bridge at all times but seemed to be nesting farther east. Any way they were using the river on both sides of the bridge to capture insects and they fly east only to return in about ten minutes. The longest I had to weight between sightings was 15 minutes. I believe there were at least six birds in this group. To get to the bridge head north out of Randolph on SR 16 fore one and one half miles and turn right (east). There was no street sine but Google Earth calls it North Gray Lane. It heads east across the valley and turns north for a short distance and then forks. Crawford Mt Rd is the one that heads east and the bridge is just a short distance to the east;
