I birded George Washington Park (Parleys Canyon) and part of the "road"
heading back towards Mt. Dell Reservoir this morning. I saw/heard many
of the birds that would be expected for this area. And it was a few
degrees cooler than in the valley, thank goodness.
American Robin
Black-billed Magpie
Black-capped Chickadee
Cassin's Finch (Isn't this a rather low elevation for this bird in the
summer?)
American Goldfinch
Yellow Warbler (everywhere)
Cedar Waxwing
Black-headed Grosbeak
Spotted Towhee
Black-chinned Hummingbird
Gray Catbird (actually visible for a second)
Barn Swallow
Swainson's Thrush
Starling
