[Birdtalk] old story

This talk of raptors and corvids reminds me of something I read in the  
Reader's Digest years ago. The story goes that for some project, the  
Washington Biological Survey was banding crows. The bands had some  
numbers, the agency, abbreviated Wash. Biol. Surv., and the city. A  
couple of months later, they received a letter: "I shot one of your  
crows. I followed your directions. It was the worst thing I ever ate!"
