[Birdtalk] Eurasian Collared-Dove & Feeders

Last winter, I had my first Eurasian Collared-Dove sighting in my yard (Draper).

This year, we have 3 hitting the feeder daily.

Has anyone else begun to see changes in bird feeder dynamics now that the Collared Doves are around?

Seems like when they fly in, the House Finches and Juncos scatter for a few minutes.? Scrub Jays don't seem to mind the intrusion.

The only good news, it appears they are "hawk bait".? Last weekend, we had a Cooper's take a pass at one.? No joy - for me or the hawk!.? First Cooper's here in a few years.
