I thoroughly enjoyed the 200 Club birding trip and ended the day with 66 species in Cache Co-including Short-eared Owl and Brewer's Blackbird (north of the airport) and Spotted Towhee (in Logan) after the group broke up for the day. Some of us did get a look (from the road) at the Short-billed Dowitcher at the Fish Hatchery, along with five Wilson's Snipe and a Greater Yellowlegs. Great to meet some local birders and go to some new sites for me. Thanks to Reinhard Jockel and Bridgerland Audubon for a great day of birding.

In other Cache Valley birding yesterday, I had 30 Sharp-tailed Grouse together (some birds calling) on 9000 S in Paradise, a late Savannah Sparrow with other sparrows near 4800 S 700W between Nibley and Hyrum, and a Mountain Chickadee at a feeder in Nibley.

I won't be around enough to join the 200 Club in Cache Co this year, but perhaps if I make it back this summer I can at least join the 100 Club!
