16 individuals spent a beautiful day afield on Sunday, December 16 participating in the Evanston Wyoming/Utah Christmas Bird Count. The count center is were Rt 89 crosses the Wyoming/Utah border between Evanston Wyoming and Woodruff Utah.
35 species were found and total bird count was 1,757, both numbers being lower than average. 211 Greater Sage-Grouse were tallied, again lower than average.
Noticably absent were woodpeckers, rosy-finches and kingfisher.
The only unusual bird on this years list below is Sandhill Crane:
