[Birdtalk] Farmington Bay...please don't flush the Herons

Hi Birder Buddies,
I was volunteering today at the Great Salt Lake Nature center (Farmington Bay), and the director, Justina Parson-Bernstein, asked me to post a message to this mailing list, requesting that people not walk near the Great Blue Heron nests. We fear that the birds will not establish nests there this year. Every time someone walks in the parking lot nearest the Heron poles, the birds fly away. 
Please spread the word.
