I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all those who participated in the GBBC this year in Utah.  In 2008 we have thus far tallied 158 species, more than any previous year during the GBBC in Utah.  I am still reviewing some sightings and we have until the end of February to submit checklists so that number could potentially go up.  Utah observers tallied 117,943 individual birds during the count and thanks to Colby Neuman as of right now had the only Dusky Grouse reported during the count.
