Subject: Bohemian Waxwing and Merlin
 
Message: While staying home (Provo's east foothills) nursing a bad cold and laryngitis I had a greater opportunity to watch birds at my feeders. A small backyard crabapple tree had Robins, Cedar Waxwings, and a single Bohemian Waxwing (it's white wing mark was distinctive). Then, all the birds flew and sitting on the fence was a Merlin who had flushed the birds looking for lunch.
