[Birdtalk] McCown Longspur in Box Elder County.

Hello Winterbirders:

  Shelly and I drove up to Teton/Flag Ranch/Yellowstone over a long weekend. Birding was sparse, snow heavy. We did observe a McCown's Longspur at the intersection of Utah state highways 30 and 38 east of Riverside on our way to Cache Valley last Thursday. The Longspur was foraging near the road with a flock of Horned Larks and we were fortunate to catch a glimpse before the snow storm hit.
