[Birdtalk] CBC Preperation

Today Jeff Bilsky and I previewed our CBC areas.  We shared a 3 Merlin day.
The first Merlin was impressive.  We were stunned when we saw the second
Merlin.  The third Merlin made us say, "Oh my heck, it's another Merlin."
Here are the lists...

Bountiful, UT:  Cooper's Hawk, Red-Tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Merlin
(2), Rock Pigeon, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker, Western Scrub Jay,
Black-Billed Magpie, Black Capped Chickadee, American Robin, Starling, Cedar
Waxwing, Song Sparrow, Dark-Eyed Junco, Red-Winged Blackbird, Western
Meadowlark, House Finch, Pine Siskin, American Goldfinch, House Sparrow.

I was a little bummed that we missed a few key montane species.  no
Crossbills, no Stellar's Jay, no Brown Creeper, etc.

SLC Airport:  Canada Goose, Red-Tailed Hawk, Rough-Legged Hawk, American
Kestrel, Merlin, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker, Black-Billed Magpie,
Common Raven, Starling, White-Crowned Sparrow, Red-Winged Blackbird, Western
Meadowlark, Brewer's Blackbird, House Sparrow.

Fine times.  Can't wait until next Saturday.
