[Birdtalk] Small billed Glaucous Gull

This photo of a first winter Glaucous Gull, taken by Keith Carlson, was 
posted on the Inland NW Birders list the other day.

I don't think anyone will question the identification of this bird and I 
thought it was interesting to see how small-billed Glaucous Gull can be, 
especially in light of the discussion of the white-winged gull from 
Logan earlier this fall.  Not to say I think this one matches the Logan 
bird, just that Glaucous can have a much smaller bill than is commonly 
depicted in field guides.  Gotta love gulls.
