Utah Birders:
Next Wednesday, December 17, Tom Aldrich from Utah DWR will be at our
Wildlife Education Center to give a presentation about tundra swans. He'll
talk about biology of the birds, as well as how the hunting season began,
it's relation to trumpeter swans, how populations are estimated, etc.
He'll be happy to answer questions as well.
Tom's talk will begin PROMPTLY at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium. This
presentation is open to the public, so please bring friends or family who
might be interested.
Yes - we know that it's the same day Wasatch Audubon is conducting the
Refuge Christmas Bird Count, but our biologist, Bridget Olson, scheduled
Tom's talk long before we were notified about the CBC date. We elected not
to try to reschedule the presentation.
