Hiked Lamb's Canyon up to the pass last night. Highlights included 4
NASHVILLE WARBLERS flitting around with the other conifer groupies and a
dozen GREEN TAILED TOWHEES hanging out right at the top of the pass. I also
flushed a small owl/raptor type bird out of one of the trees but wasn't able
to ID it before it was out of sight. Heard no Flammies this time even with
tape (which makes sense based on time of year) as I hiked out in the pitch
black having overshot my departure time. Eerie for sure especially when a
rather large moose goes running past you but hey, I'll take eerie over
boring any time.
