Hi all,
I listened for migrants at ~6000' above the Avenues (Salt Lake County) from
about 1am onwards last night. I slept on and off for the early portions of
that, but from about 4am-6am I listened rather continuously hoping things
would pick up as dawn approached. Numbers were rather small and diversity
was not as great as I had hoped for, but a few birds were still heard
nonetheless...
CHIPPING SPARROW - 7 - 4:20, 4:45, several between 5:10-5:30, and the last
one at 5:47am
possible Brewer's Sparrow - 1 - at ~ 5:20am - distant, but seemed reasonable
for it
high pitched 'seeps' - 3 - between 4:45-5:20...presumably Orange-crowned,
Virginia's or Nashville - none were right overhead and clear
high pitched 'zip' - 1 - distant - maybe a Yellow?
