Went to Antelope Island again this morning. Met up with Steven and Cindy Sommerfeld and later with Lynn Christiansen. The big find of the day was by Lynn who found the Ruddy Turnstone reported last week. Thank you Lynn. This is a Utah bird for me. It was about .10 of a mile east of Mile marker 1, on the South side of the causeway and still in very "crisp" plumage. The bird moved back and forth along the causeway in the same general area while were there. The phalarope's (mostly red-necked) are there in their 10's of thousands.

In addition to what I reported yesterday I saw:
Ring-billed Gull
Sanderling (thanks to Steve's good eyes)
Ruddy Turnstone
Burrowing Owl
Great Horned Owl
Chukar
Northern Mockingbird
Western Kingbird
Loggerhead Shrike
Warbling Verio

The Sommerfeld's also saw most of the above and yesterday's birds, with some additions they mentioned to me:
Rufous Hummingbird
Prairie Falcon
Dusky Flycatcher
Western Wood-Pewee

Thanks,

Stephen
