Hi All,

My granddaughter and I went birding in Utah county, up Spanish Fork canyon to the Diamond Fork campground. We followed the information at

   http://utahbirds.org/counties/utahco/index.html

We found lots of mystery birds! I
made a huge effort to identify these birds. See the birds and my novice attempts at identification at

I went through Sibley, National Geographic, and the Kauffman guides in an attempt to identify these. The male Brewer's Blackbirds were easy enough to identify, but the brown birds with them didn't look like female Brewer's Blackbirds. The photograph quality isn't great. The birds were far away, and the lighting wasn't always perfect. Still, I gotta get me a more serious camera than my Lumix 12x FZ8.

Similar stories with the others. What are they really?

Also see the
beautiful campground. It's in a quiet canyon, away from major highways.

We saw amazing wind turbines on the way. Up with wind
power!

Thanks for educating me,

Doug Roberts
