I snuck out at lunch to bird East Bay Golf Course ponds in Provo really
quick. Of note would be: dozens of YELLOW RUMPED and ORANGE CROWNED WARBLERS
as well as a lone YELLOW WARBLER (is this early? It was flagged by Ebird).
Also I saw about 10 or so BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERONS roosting on one of the
islands including at least one juvenile. An OSPREY flew over and sent all
the shorebirds (STILTS and KILLDEER and others that I couldn't get and I
forgot my Sibley's!). Although the Osprey was diving for fish and ignored
everything else. Also I saw my first goslings of the year - 2 of them
staying close to their parents. Also there were SWALLOWS everywhere but I
haven't gotten great at IDing them yet so I am only claiming BARN and
NORTHERN ROUGH WINGED but I am certain there were more than that as well as
I think some swifts possibly. Complete list:
