[Birdtalk] Green-tailed Towhee

A Green-tailed Towhee was scratching under a feeder next to my house a short
time ago. This is the third year in a row that I've seen one in the yard on
spring migration (last year's bird appeared on April 20th), and it just goes
to prove that any habitat will do during migration. Tonight's bird must have
perceived my big ol' head when I peered down at him from a window 10 feet
above the ground and he scampered under a shrub, not to be seen again.

I also had 16 Cassin's Finches in the yard this morning--an all-time high.
That made five species of finches today--Cassin's, House, Pine Siskins, and
American and Lesser Goldfinches. I need a grosbeak or something to stop by
to plump that number up a little further.
