[Birdtalk] Vulture kettle

The Knudsen's Corner area (6200 South Holladay Blvd.) has long been a
place where the Vultures come in the Spring. (Generally same area as
Tim mentions.) I used to live in that area (5300 South below Wasatch
Blvd.) and I'd see them every Spring in that area, in or around a group
of Cottonwood trees near Darwin Knudsen's home. (That's the one on the
corner, South of The Cotton Bottom, with the old mill wheel embedded in
a wall along 6200 South.) Vultures seem to return year-after-year to
same locations, that is my observation. There are a group of Pine trees
near my present home in East Millcreek where every year a group of two
Vultures comes and "hangs-out" for a few days each Spring and Fall.
Does anyone else have similar observations, or know of research that
supports such a hypothesis of Vultures returning to same locations
year-after-year?
