Yesterday morning I saw a flock of 20 plus Bohemian Waxwings at the top of Old Main Hill at USU in Logan.
Seems to be quite late for them to be hanging around.
In 1959, 10,000 individuals arrived in Santa Fe, NM in April and hung around until early May.
So who knows. Their irruptive migrations are so irregular and unpredictable.
What effect will climate change have on BOWAs? Will their ranges expand, constrict?
A very cool bird to see and think about.
