After my trip with Tim Avery and company to Antelope Island and the Causeway I stopped on the way home at Lee Kay Ponds. Things of note: 1 Marbled Godwit at the main pond by the observation deck, with 12 more at the west end of the large west pond. The Canvasback, Common Goldeneye, Lesser Scaup, etc. are still there, but in decreasing numbers. Around the backside of the landfill (7200 West between California and I-80) saw 5 Willets, 7 Lesser Yellowlegs, and 2 Greater Yellowlegs, several hundred American Avocets, with a few Northern Shovelers.
Thanks,
Stephen
