[Birdtalk] Sanderling, plovers etc @ AIC

This morning Sylvia Gray, Dave Hanscom, Stephen Carlile, Lindy McAvoy(sp?), and I birded the causeway, the island, Garr Ranch and Farmington Bay WMA. 

Highlights: 

AIC

4 Sanderling
8 Black-bellied Plover 
6 Black-necked Stilt 
1 Long-billed Curlew 
1500 Avocets
15 White-faced Ibis
3000 Eared Grebe
1 Bonaparte's Gull

On the island we saw several curlews, a Rock Wren and a couple Barn Swallows. 

Garr Ranch 

5 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 
4 Yellow-rumped Warbler
1 Say's Phoebe

And a starling imitating a Sora from the tree tops. 

FBWMA 

2 Greater Scaup 
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
2 Tree Swallow
1 NRW Swallow 

And lots of other ducks on the ponds at Glover Lane.
