Message: I observed an adult osprey this evening. It perched on a power pole in my backyard for several hours. I photographed it. I called a reporter from the local paper who also saw it and photographed it. I believe I've seen this bird here in the immediate area before. This is the first time I could make a positive I.D. In over 25 years of living here I have never seen another osprey in this area.
