It continues to rain good birds at Sugarhouse Park. This afternoon, in addition to the male CANVASBACK, and moulting male COMMON GOLDENEYE, there was a male GREEN-WINGED TEAL hanging out near the inlet.
As I was watching the the ducks, 5 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS flew down to the water, spent about a minute and appeared to be drinking, before lifting off and flying up over 1300 East and off to the north.
A lone male BREWER'S BLACKBIRD arrived near the outlet today, and 3 AMERICAN CROW were seen swirling over the pines on the north slope of the park.
I think I may just have to stop by everyday through the spring and see what else shows up!
Good Birding
