This evening I was out and decided to swing thru Sugarhouse Park. I was really surprised to find a male CANVASBACK sitting in the middle of the pond with its head tucked. The bird lifted its head after a while and flapped its wings a bit. Definitely a new park bird for me!
Also, there is now a female Goldeneye (that appeared to be a Common... I didn't have binox) along with the male Common Goldeneye on the same pond.
Good Birding
