Hi all,
Tim and I went back to the Salt Lake International Center yesterday
afternoon and spent a considerable amount of time searching the trees and
bushes around the complex. We did briefly see the Prothonotary Warbler in
the same location previously described. We came up with quite a list of
migrants that included 8 warbler species...
Hairy Woodpecker - 1
Western Wood-Pewee - 2
Hammond's Flycatcher - 1
Warbling Vireo - 1
House Wren - 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - several
Orange-crowned Warbler - 4
Nashville Warbler - 6 or more
Yellow Warbler - 1 female
Townsend's Warbler - 1 female
Prothonotary Warbler - 1 continuing
MacGillivray's Warblers - 2 females
Wilson's Warblers - 6 or more
Common Yellowthroat - 1
Chipping Sparrow ~ 50
Brewer's Sparrow - a couple
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
White-crowned Sparrow ~ 10-15
Dark-eyed Junco - 2
Green-tailed Towhee - 4
Yellow-headed Blackbird - 1
It really is interesting to see what each patch of trees and bushes holds
out there.
Colby
