My wife and I birded Garr Ranch and the Antelope Island Causeway this morning. At the ranch we saw:
 Townsend’s Warbler
MacGillivray'S Warbler
Wilson’s Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Gray Flycatcher
Willow Flycatcher
Western Wood Pee Wee
SWAINSON THRUSH
WESTERN TANAGER
BREWER'S SPARROW
RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD
BROADTAILED HUMMINGBIRD

Sadly, we did not see a Nashville Warbler. We did see a possible Orange-crowned Warbler, but it was a fleeting glimpse.

We saw the normal birds along the causeway. Although I did try to turn a Long-billed Curlew into Whimbrel, but my wife and Mr. Sibley prevailed. Along the road between the causeway and ranch we saw:
PRARIE FALCON
AMERICAN KESTREL
CHUKAR
WESTERN MEADOWLARK

It was great to get out and see some new birds for the year (the Townsend’s Warbler was a new year bird for me), and to watch the gulls do their thing of hunching over, lunging forward and power sucking flies.

Thanks.
Buck Russell
