I had a pleasant trip this morning. The Green Heron is still at the little pond on the north side. A flock of 30 Sandhill Cranes were overhead, they circled for at least five minutes before entering into a V formation and heading south. I guess they were arguing over whose turn it was to lead.
I was surprised with a short look at a Red-napped Sapsucker before it took off.
The American Robins and Yellow-rumped Warblers were out in force. Hellen Keller could have found Robins they were so numerous. The only other warbler was what I thought was a first year Yellow. Being on the other side of the river the view was not the finest.
Other birds seen:
Dark-eyed Junco
White-crowned Sparrow
Northern Flicker

Pine Siskin
Mallard
Canada Goose
