[Birdtalk] Backyard Birds ~ Stellar Jay!

Hi Guys,

We had our first ever STELLAR JAY about an hour ago.  Kent wasn't able to
get a picture of it yet.  Our dog got curious and wondered why we were
looking outside and talking so animatedly.  She ran to the back door and the
Jay flew off.  Goofy dog.  The Stellar is such a beautiful bird. So much
darker than we were expecting.  We had never seen one before.

We also have our first JUNCOS.  I guess winter really is almost here!

We hardly ever have Mourning Doves but we always have a few EURASIAN DOVES
around now.  They seem to like it here.

I will let you know if we see anything else exciting. Right now our
"resident" Sharpie is outside so we have nothing stirring, not even a
mouse.  ;)

I have a hummingbird feeder still out, the level has gone down, but I am not
sure why.  Maybe I will see one of our hummer friends.

Just wanted to share our exciting news.
