I agree.  Once it was made public you can't keep people from coming out 
so you might as well enjoy showing as many people as possible.  For me 
the best part of finding something rare is sharing it with others.  In 
this case I didn't find it but it is just as fun to see their reactions 
when people come to see it.  If newspapers will print something urging 
caution and explaining why that's necessary it might be helpful.  Most 
people will understand and keep their distance.  As for the 
photographers trying to get close the best prevention is a bunch of 
people standing there watching.
