I went out to the Murray-holliday road parks where Deedee reported the Evening Grosbeaks at yesterday. I started at the Creekside Park, not a lot of birds there, one Sharp-shinned Hawk harrasing a couple of House Finches.
Then I went north to the Cottonwood Senior Center and walk the pathway in the park behind the center. Lots of birds there.
Lot of Robins, Starlings, House Sparrows and Finches, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Spotted Towhee, Black-capped Chickadee, White-crowned Sparrows, Dark-eyed Juncos, N..Flickers, Mallards, one Cedar Waxwing and no Evening Grosbeaks.
I did find an EUROPEAN GOLDFINCH about 5pm in the Russian Olives at the beginning of the trail behind the Senior Center.
Good Birding
