Wasatch Audubon enjoyed good birding this morning at Ogden Cemetery on 20th
Street; it was the most bird activity we've seen there in awhile. Our best
species were probably RED CROSSBILLS and a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH. The
crossbills were throughout the cemetery for the whole 2 1/2 hours we were
there; at one point we saw a flock of approximately three dozen birds. We
found the White-breasted Nuthatch at the same location where we found one a
month ago--at the Center and 10th Streets intersection.

Other species, and good numbers of the flocking birds:

California Quail
Sharp-shinned Hawk - a few people saw this bird grab a songbird out of the
sky
Northern Flicker
Black-billed Magpie
American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee
Mountain Chickadee
Red-breasted Nuthatch - lots
Brown Creeper
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Townsend's Solitaire
American Robin
Spotted Towhee
White-crowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
House Finch
American Goldfinch
