[Birdtalk] Birder Admits Killing Cat, but Was It Animal Cruelty?

Today's NY Times has an interesting article about the founding member of the Galveston Ornithological Society who is on trial for killing a feral cat he said was stalking piping plovers.

It would be funny except that he is actually facing potential jail time and substantial fines.
