Hi All,
I too have been rather entertained by the birds around the
neighborhood and feeders this weekend, as well as over the past
several weeks:
Cedar Waxwings
Red-breasted nuthatches
Mountain Chickadees
BC Chickadees
Stellars Jay
Juncos
Robins
Magpies
Downy Woodpeckers
And this morning a Sharp-shined Hawk took a robin, ate it in the
backyard and a while later perched atop the roof directly above my
back door. The magpies gave it away. Then an hour later wondered why
the neighborhood cat was perched on the back fence. As I approached
the window the SS Hawk flew out of the tree just above where the cat
was, and the hawk flew off.
