Hi all

I spent Saturday morning at the Learning Center at Farmington Bay and had a great time watching all the raptors. On Glover lane there were several hawks standing sentinel on the power poles 4 Red-tails and my first Rough-legged Hawks of the season. In all lots of Red-tails, American Kestrels I tried to turn one of them into a Merlin but it was a Female Kestrel and Northern Harriers. I Watched at least 2 and possibly four Rough-legs hunting the flats west of the Learning Center and between the Learning Center and Goose Egg Island.

It was really fun watching all the hawks for a couple of hours, they were very active.

PS I am taking an extra day this weekend for Veterans day and need to get out and go birding. I wanted to go back down south but that looks unlikely. I would love some suggestions for hot birding areas right now and would appreciate any help any of you could offer.

Happy Birding
Steve
