This evening I visited the Richmond Wildlife Management Area (Cherry Creek Canyon) and found a couple of Yellow-breasted Chats. They were on the north side of the road near the Richmond Wildlife Management Area sign (where the dirt road makes a circle just before you enter the canyon. There were quite a few Black-headed Grosbeaks in the trees, almost as numerous as Yellow Warblers. Other birds included Lazuli Bunting, Broad-tailed Hummingbird and Chipping Sparrows. I found a Common Yellowthroat at the bridge near the Cutler Marsh. It was a beautiful male.
Thanks.
Buck Russell
