[Birdtalk] headless quail

[Deedee &/or Dick O'Brien]

I found a headless quail in my yard early in the morning one day this week. Does any predator take just heads besides Great Horned Owl? I can't imagine a hungry predator taking a quail's tiny head and leaving a fat body. Would a cat or dog do that?
