Although I heard a hummingbird in April, I saw my first hummer on May Day! Couldn't get a positive ID as it was in the shadows. Probably a broadtailed as it seemed larger than a black chinned. Does the humming sound vary with the type of bird? This one sounded like it could use some WD-40!!! I've seen a couple since then, one was a Broadtail.
Also saw a beautiful Lazuli Bunting this afternoon. This is on the benches of Pleasant Grove.
