Message: Although the Sibley map shows the Ash-throated in this area (Ogden/Ogden Valley) neither my wife or I can remember ever seeing one around here. I saw one yesterday in Ogden Valley.

We were to the south of the road to Powder Mt., above the Wolf Creek complex on the east side of the valley. The bird was sitting on the peak of a rooftop. In a relatively short time we also saw a Say's Phoebe and and a Western Kingbird, so the area seems to be popular with flycatchers.

If this is of interest, take the road to Powder Mt. and, after you pass the Wolf Mt. complex, turn right on Elkhorn. Go 3/4 of the way around the roundabout you'll come to and go until you get to Cloudpeak Court onthe right. I saw the bird on one the houses on that circle from a path that runs behind the houses. There is an access to the path behind the house on the NE corner of Cloudpeak.
