It's been awhile since I have been out & about. After having a wonderful trip to Alaska I have had shoulder surgery, which went well however, it slowed me down some. I went to Farmington Bay yesterday around 4:30pm and was treated with a sight I have never seen there. Just after the entrance gate, on the East side in the ponds, were some Wilson's Phalaropes, two females. They were wading in the grasses near the road. I almost missed them, they were so close. I usually see them out on the Causeway, and was very surprised to see them there.
Because of the time I got there, and just before the gates closed, I just went up to the management offices, and then left to see the Glover Ponds.
