Are non-native or common species undesirable?
And have you ever noticed that non-native species that
are so often maligned such as house sparrows and
starlings NEVER EVER live anywhere except with
people. Only after people have driven out the native
species is there an environmental niche for a starling.

Or it might help birds build immunity to parasites and disease.
