[Birdtalk] RFI - early-mid 80's flood & breeding birds

Hi all,

Does anyone know or have data on how breeding avocets, stilts, ibis, egrets,
herons, etc. fared when the lake was high during the early-mid 80's at
places like Bear River, Layton Marsh, Farmington Bay, etc.?  Were some
colonies not impacted, and for those that were, did the birds create new
colonies elsewhere or was there complete failure for a couple of years?
