On guided tours given Saturday, July 7 and Thursday, July 12, migrant
shorebirds were found. Both greater and lesser yellowlegs, along with
dowitchers, were seen on the north end of Unit 2 - view from the north arm
of the auto tour route. I haven't been able to get out to the refuge to
see if there may be other species around, and Bridget is on fire detail for
two weeks, so she hasn't been doing any waterbird surveys lately.

Don't forget - share with family, friends and neighbors - that the refuge
gives guided refuge tours! You CAN call to make a reservation at
435.723.5887 during business hours.

Thursdays & Fridays at 9:00 and 4:30
Saturdays at 11:00 and 3:30

Tours last about 3 hours, but can be shorter or longer, depending on the
wishes of participants. If you have any questions, just holler!
