After 12 years, the American Birding Association’s annual Convention will be returning to Utah from June 23rd to 29th, 2008.  Next year’s convention will be held at Cliff Lodge in Snowbird.  With recommendations from many in the Utah birding community, we have chosen Steve Carr to serve as Field Trip Coordinator for the 2008 Snowbird Convention.  As one of the Field Trip Coordinators with the Utah Ornithological Society, Steve has shown considerable knowledge of the planning process, and of the best accessible birding locations within 1-1/2 hours of Snowbird.  He will be looking for local Utah birders who might wish to serve as route captains and field trip leaders.  It would be most helpful to Steve if those individuals interested in participating contact him at stevecarr9 at msn.com.  Congratulations, Steve!

The ABA looks forward to another successful event in Utah and for the participation of the local birding community to help make it a success.  Registration begins in February 2008 and will be open to ABA members and non-members alike.
